Shang-Chi, Black Widow at SDCC 2019Also expected to be formally announced is Shang-Chi, to be directed by Destin Daniel Cretton, which has yet to cast its lead role, although Ludi Lin and Ross Butler are reportedly in contention to play Marvel's Master of Kung Fu.The currently filming Black Widow prequel -- starring Scarlett Johansson, Rachel Weisz, David Harbour, and Florence Pugh -- is also expected to have a presence at the panel, although whether Marvel will show any rough footage or just conceptual imagery remains to be seen.Other MCU projects expected to be announced include the sequels Black Panther 2, Doctor Strange 2, and Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3. No word yet on whether rehired Guardians 3 director James Gunn will come out onstage for a bit of fan service. (Gunn was infamously fired by Disney during last year's Comic-Con.)
